My name is Zack Remsen and I build cars for the enjoyment of everyone. When you get in and hit the key, I want a shiver to flow down your spine, knowing that you have the ultimate driving machine, one that will put a smile on your face every time you get behind the wheel. I’ve been working on machines ever since I was a wee little black haired version of myself.
My parents met racing on the streets of Miami in the 70’s, so horsepower runs through my veins. I love to make people smile, whether it’s joking, building their car and watching them drive it for the first time, or thousandth time. I put maximum effort into every little piece I do, with quality being my number one priority.
I have various skill sets that range from electrical diagnosis, mechanical ability, as well as fabrication and tuning. My formal background is in electrical repair, as I studied this in high school and college. My first job out of college was working at a place repairing MRI machines, and I worked there for five years. In my spare time, I’ve always built cars, but my specialty has been Honda’s and more specifically B Series engines.
After I quit the MRI repair facility, I went to work for a shop that built custom C1 (1953-1962) Corvette chassis, where I learned a good bit about fabrication and welding. Two years of working there, and I moved on to working at another local shop called KSR Performance and Fabrication, where the only thing we worked on was dedicated race cars. Drag cars, road race cars, and drift cars filled that shop with many different jobs happening every single day. It was a very fast paced environment and it taught me how to work quickly and efficiently. I learned a tremendous amount from Kevin Smith, who is an amazing fabricator, and just an all around car guru. I can’t thank him enough for the knowledge I obtained while working there. I worked there for two years and realized it was time to venture out on my own to do what I loved. Welcome to Remtune!
